Biography: Served on the ISS Board from Jan 2010 - Jan 2012. Co-Chair Alliances/Membership Committee. After an early career working in the sailboat sector including time as crew and working for a leading yachting magazine, Dean moved into the yacht building sector in 2000. Initially running a UK builder developing sailing yachts up to 25metres (with Dubois Naval Architects & Rhoades Young Design) which also managed the yard owner’s two private 50 metre plus yachts, Dean moved to become Business Development Manager at Devonport Yachts in Plymouth UK. His primary role at Devonport – during a time of high demand for custom superyachts – was to develop new enquiries and then manage the bid process for those, including client management. The company built some highly complex superyachts over 70 metres including a M/Y Samar at 77 metre and M/Y Sarafsa at 82 metre. Dean is currently Director of Marketing for Royale Oceanic and is responsible for sales and marketing of their client advisory services in new construction and yacht sales and purchase.
